    Not all little girls are (physically) 'beautiful' just as not all women are. There is nothing wrong with admitting that.
    Personally, I think the woman looking for validation is just as bad as the person making nasty comments. Both were uncalled for. The kid is cute, not beautiful. People need to stop lying to her, and mom needs to realize her kid might NEVER be physically beautiful.
    FTR - I didn't even see anything 'wrong' with the kid, and had to look closely to see the cleft lip. The child is average, plain and simple.
